About

About

I had my colour analysis done in late 2024 — and I absolutely loved it. It gave me a new lease of life and completely transformed the way I shop. Armed with my swatches, I could walk into a store and instantly focus on the colours that suited me best, ignoring everything else.

But I quickly realised that shopping online was a completely different experience. In-store, I could easily hold fabrics up to my swatches and see what worked — but online, it was a guessing game. Even when I tried filtering by colour on my favourite retailers’ websites, I’d be shown every possible shade of green, from khaki to neon — most of which didn’t suit me at all. There was no way to filter by seasonally accurate colours — the ones that actually matched my palette.

It was frustrating, especially after discovering how empowering it felt to shop with clarity and confidence. I knew there had to be a better way — so I decided to create one.

Shop My Palette is the result: a fashion discovery platform that brings together brilliant brands (all with sustainability credentials I’m proud to support), but with one key difference — intuitive seasonal colour filtering. Whether you’re a Soft Summer or a Warm Spring, you’ll be able to browse items that match your personal palette.

We’re still in beta. The colour analysis code can occasionally make mistakes, and I’m working hard to improve its accuracy week by week — as well as adding more brands and features all the time.

Curious about colour analysis?

If you haven't had your colours done recently, I have some excellent recommendations for you. For those based in the South West of England, I highly recommend Nicki Leach, a qualified Colour Me Beautiful consultant based in Devon, who you can find on the Be Colour Fabulous website. For those outside Devon seeking in-person analysis, you can find trained colour analysts near you through the House of Colour or Colour Me Beautiful websites, both of which have extensive networks of qualified consultants.

If you're looking for online colour analysis, Emily Innes at Style Me Happy offers professional virtual consultations that are incredibly thorough and accessible from anywhere. You can also join the supportive Style Me Happy community on Facebook here, where members share tips, inspiration, and colour journey stories.

A quick note on colour accuracy

Some product images may look slightly different from what you see in real life. Unfortunately, this is often down to studio lighting or filters used in fashion shoots, which can shift the hue a little. Wherever possible, we’ve chosen the clearest, most colour-accurate images available — but it's something to bear in mind.

How the site is funded

Shop My Palette features a mix of affiliate links and independent product picks. Some links may earn us a small commission, while others are simply items we love and want to share — with no affiliate partnership in place.

Wherever possible, we use official press imagery provided by brands for editorial use, and always credit the source. If you’re a brand and would like to collaborate or opt out, get in touch.
